I'm sharing a few older projects while family visits take over for a bit -- it doesn't get any better! These two guys are jointed. I made the large one from fake fur, and the small one of real beaver fur from a vintage beaver coat. They keep us company in a little wooden rocker that all of our four children (now 27 to 49) used when they were small. I so wish someone could tell me where those years have gone!

They are adorable. First I was amazed at your expertise in creating these jointed teddies. Then I read you used real fur for one. Yikes! I made a lap throw from a mink coat once and it was a mess! I had little bits of fur everywhere. Kind of pulled at my heart strings with your children's chair and time passing so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are wonderful Barbara.
ReplyDeletebeautiful bears and time flies on...but you can remember the little ones each time you hold one bear close to you heart. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew where those years go when they vanish like that also.
ReplyDeleteLove your handmade jointed bears.
Well let's see -- they went into the land of love and laughter and more love - still there but you have to 'remember' them now. Darling bears!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous - you can't beat a proper teddy bear.
